The South African Post Office (SAPO) is making it easier for you to renew your car licence with the help of a new online app.
According to SAPO, more than 3 million South Africans use the post office to renew their vehicle licences every year.
In a bid to minimise queues and maintain the country’s COVID protocols, SAPO has developed an app for contactless renewal.
With the help of this new app, drivers will be able to easily fill in the necessary forms, renew and pay for their licenses all without leaving the safety of their homes.
Once the process is complete, drivers can choose to fetch their new licences from their nearest post office or, for an additional fee, get the licence delivered straight to their home or office.
The app is currently in development and is set to be launched across the country in early 2022.
